Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 May 2026
Acceptance
By creating an account or using Share the Load ("the Service"), available at sharetheload.online, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
Share the Load helps families coordinate calendars and tasks by accepting messages, screenshots, and forwarded notices, and turning them into shared events and to-dos. Features may change over time.
Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) to use the Service. Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (events, tasks, notes, images, forwarded emails). By submitting content you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display it to you and other members of your family space so we can provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you submit.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass others.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share.
- Attempt to break, reverse engineer, or overload the Service.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
Google Calendar integration
If you connect your Google Calendar, you authorise Share the Load to read upcoming events from your primary calendar so you can import selected events. We do not modify your Google Calendar. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Third-party services
The Service uses third-party providers (e.g. hosting, AI processing, email delivery) to operate. We choose providers carefully but are not responsible for their independent acts or omissions.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing hello@sharetheload.online. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Disclaimer & liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Share the Load is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
